There was an ice storm, recently, in the Mid-US area. I know there are some other mid-westerners here and I don't know if they have power yet. But the storm was last Saturday, and I just got power today (Friday). So that's why I haven't been on. Just thought I'd let people know.

Ditto. Actually, I got power yesterday but my mom wouldn't let us turn the computer back on yet. Plus, we're still mainly on a generator so I may not be on as often.

Yea. My family and I stayed with my Grandma for five days. You don't realize how glad you are not to live with other family until you finally have to. But the worst part about this, is we lost a ton of food because all the food in the fridge and freezer... melted. It was the most disqusting thing I've ever seen. And now I'm starving and all I have is cookies. Under normal circumstances, I would've loved that. I want real food! Oh well. Mom's going grocery shopping later. LOL XD

Wow, I can't imagine staying with my grandparents for a week, wait yes I can. I've been on vacation to WI with them a couple of times. But still, I had a friend up there with me so it was kind of different..

Yea. See, there was a layer of ice on everything. Mom nearly died going down the porch stairs. And while it wasn't funny at the time, it's pretty funny now lol.
