Madam Pomfrey glanced around at the empty Hospital Wing. While she was appreciative of the students' lack of injury, she was also concerned that they didn't appear to need her help. She had been swamped until today, and in the process, her office had gotten slightly cluttered. After another half hour of deserted hospital beds, Madam Pomfrey shrugged and proceeded to clear her desk. She found several half-empty viles, and other remedies in her drawers. She would've never found those if she hadn't had time to clean.

Kayra slumped down the corridor towards the Hospital Wing. Kayra had diagnosed herself with the flu, but someone had told her that she should probably go to Madam Pomfrey so she wouldn't miss any classes. When she got there, she felt bad because Madam Pomfrey was cleaning her office. Kayra didn't particularly want to interrupt, but that's when she felt a sudden urge in the pit of her stomach. And she missed the waste basket.

Madam Pomfrey was humming to herself in her office, when a sick child entered the ward. The girl proceeded to make sick on the floor. Madam Pomfrey grimaced. She walked out to help the girl to a bed,"Dear, what's your name?" Madam Pomfrey laid the girl down, before she answered.

"Kayra Smith. And I'm really not this sick. Just give me some cough medicine and I'll be fine," Kayra said, trying not to cough while talking.

Madam Pomfrey tutted at Kayra. She pulled a thermometer from her sleeve, and shoved it in Kayra's mouth,"We'll just see about that." The thermometer didn't measure just temperatures, it measured seriousness of diseases. Kayra's temperature was 100.2 and her seriousness was... 8.6 on a scale of 1-10.
